Armand Di Biase
All musician, pound for pound, bassist Armand Di Biase lays down a propulsive groove that is always locked air tight with Dave’s drums keeping the Third Stone train moving all night long. With over 30 years of experience playing with various bands and singer songwriter types both locally and on the college scene while attending Architecture School (Armand is an Architect when he’s not jamming on the bass), Armand joined the Third Stone line up in 2007 bringing with him, solid time, fat tone and great feel for whatever the song calls for. Major bass influences include Donald “Duck” Dunn, James Jamerson, (everything has to have either a little Duck or James in it) Willie Weeks, Barry Oakley, and Roscoe Beck to name a few. Favorite musical artists of the moment getting a lot of rotation on the CD player include Robben Ford, BB King, Jimmy Witherspoon, Donny Hathaway, Tab Benoit and Susan Tedeschi.
